“ This a family owned establishment with very friendly staff. They all help each other. The food is tasty, but the atmosphere is what keeps me coming back time and time again. The girls in this establishment are fantastic and very eager to make sure the experience is one worth remembering. I love the hometown cafe. ”
“ Great food and great service New owners and some of the dishes definitely got an upgrade. I've never had anything I didn't like. Everyone always seems happy to be there and the staff is quick and check in regularly. Always a great meal! ”
“ I would like to say I have been going to Hometown Cafe for a long time. The food has always been good, but lately it is really great. New ownership is doing a fabulous job. From what I've seen the owner has the waitress, waiters and cooks are being up held to a standard that should be at a restaurant. Keep up the good work and all your customers will love this Cafe as much as I do. Everything on the menu is a great dish. ”
“ We used Hometown Cafe to cater a meal for 45 people. The food was delivered hot, on time, and was delicious. It was all we hoped it would be. We would recommend them and don't forget the homemade banana pudding. Thanks, Craig Pleasants. ”
“ I tried this cafe on 3/15/24. I flew into RDU, and my parents were going to Franklinton to meet a friend. Before we left the area, they told me this cafe was a must-try, so off we went, and I am so glad we did. This may be the best hometown cafe I have tried in NC. The restaurant is very clean. The service is excellent. Both are easy five stars. The food was delicious and another five star. Imagine a typical hometown-type cafe that had a baby with a culinary chef. That is what the food is like. We all ordered Hamburger steak with gravy and onions. I got cabbage and green beans. My mom got cabbage and rice/gravy, and my dad got black eye peas and butter beans. The hamburger steak was very generous, perfectly cooked, and fresh. The grilled onions were perfect. The best part was that the gravy was undoubtedly made from the pan dripping, which is hard to find in a cafe like this. The cabbage was seasoned with meat perfectly. The greens beans, butter beans, and rice were all great. The cornbread is moist and tasty. Another thing that is nice for diet soda fans is they have Diet Pepsi and Diet Mt. Dew. That is unusual. Most of the time, it is Diet Coke or Pepsi, and that is it. This is a must try if you visit or live in the area. Congrats to the chef and the entire staff! ”
“ Great little place in Franklinton. Super friendly wait stuff and the owner works the floor. Saw him bussing tables, filling coffee and taking orders. I had the Western omelet with hash browns a biscuit and gravy. Very good lots, of cheese. Stop in, you'll love it. I did! ”
“ We walked in a party of 6 less than an hour to closing! Let me just say we recieved the best hospitality! Visiting family and this was the best dinner we had the whole trip!! Our youngest diner was having a hard time when we got there as he is only 3 and was so very very tired! Our server plopped the problem solving applesauce in his spot and saved the day! Beyond impressed and will be back the next time we are in town which will be very very soon! ”
“ Check with us, we're smoking our own meats, ribs and beef brisket, smoking our own barbecue, And our buttermilk biscuits are the best in town ”
